Content Rules (Acceptable Use Policy)
What you may not create or upload on VividHour, how photos, prompts and videos are checked, and how to appeal a decision. Last updated 2026-10-22.
Why these rules exist
Photos uploaded to VividHour often show real people. These rules protect them, the people who watch the videos, and you. They cover every photo you upload, every prompt you write and every video you make, on free and paid plans alike. Our Terms of Service make them binding.
Zero tolerance for anything involving minors
Content that sexualizes minors is never allowed, whether in a photo, a prompt or a video. We block it, close the account and report it where the law requires. We do not give warnings for this rule.
Content you must not create or upload
- Sexual or sexually suggestive content of any kind.
- Nudity, or any attempt to undress a person or remove their clothing.
- A real person shown without their consent.
- Impersonation of real people or public figures.
- Deepfakes meant to deceive, such as fake news clips or fake evidence.
- Face swaps, meaning one person's face placed on someone else.
- Harassment or bullying of anyone.
- Hateful content that attacks people for who they are.
- Content that promotes violence or encourages self-harm.
- Illegal content.
- Material that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
- Attempts to get around our checks, for example by rewording a blocked prompt or altering a blocked photo.
- Removing, covering or altering the visible mark on a free video, or the AI labels inside any video file.
- Scripts, bots or other automated or bulk use beyond the free limits.
Photos of people and children
Upload a photo only if it is yours, or if everyone in it has agreed. You confirm this each time you upload. Photos of children may only be uploaded by the child's parent or legal guardian, so if a child appears in your photo, your upload also confirms that you are their parent or guardian.
Using a photo of a public figure does not change these rules. Do not make anyone appear to say or do something they did not.
How content is checked
Every prompt, photo and finished video is checked automatically:
- Your prompt is checked when you submit it.
- Your photo is checked after you upload it.
- The finished video is checked before it is delivered to you.
Blocked content never costs you credits. Automated checks are not perfect. They can block a harmless photo or prompt, and they can miss things, which is why anyone can still report content to us.
Appealing a decision
If you think something was blocked by mistake, you can appeal. Use the appeal option shown with the block message, or email support@vividhour.com. If you are not signed in, we will ask for an email address. A person reviews every appeal within 48 hours and replies by email.
When the rules are broken
Depending on how serious the case is, we may:
- remove the content;
- end your access to free videos;
- close your account. Spent credits are not refunded.
Content that sexualizes minors always leads to a closed account and, where required, a report to the authorities.
Reporting a video
If you see a VividHour video that breaks these rules, email support@vividhour.com with a link and a short description. Intimate images, and content that shows a person without their consent, are removed within 48 hours of a valid request. Copyright and trademark owners have their own process, described on our Copyright and Takedown page. Our Privacy Policy explains what the checks receive and what we keep.
