Copyright and Takedown (DMCA)

How to ask VividHour to remove content that infringes your copyright or shows you without consent, and how counter-notices work. Last updated 2026-10-21.

Overview

You can ask us to remove content from VividHour that infringes your copyright or trademark, or that is otherwise unlawful. This page lists what to send us and what happens after we receive it. All notices go to support@vividhour.com.

Filing a copyright notice

Email us with "Copyright notice" in the subject line. To let us act quickly, include:

  1. The work. Describe the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, such as a photo or video you own.
  2. The material. Describe the content on VividHour you want removed, and tell us where it is, for example with a link.
  3. How to reach you. Your name and email, plus a postal address or phone number.
  4. Good faith. A sentence saying you have a good-faith belief that neither the copyright owner, nor anyone acting for them, nor the law permits this use.
  5. Accuracy and authority. A sentence confirming that the notice is correct, plus a sentence, made under penalty of perjury, confirming that you hold the copyright or may act for its owner.
  6. Your signature. A physical or electronic signature, such as your full name typed at the end of the email.

For a trademark complaint, send the same details, naming the trademark instead of a copyrighted work. If a notice is missing something, we may ask you for it before we act.

After we receive a notice

We act on complete notices within 48 hours, normally by removing the material or blocking access to it. We let the person who made the content know it was taken down, and we may send them a copy of the notice. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed.

If your content was removed by mistake

Think your content was taken down by mistake, or confused with something else? A counter-notice asks us to review the removal. Send it to support@vividhour.com with:

  1. Which content was taken down, and where on VividHour it was before that.
  2. A sentence, made under penalty of perjury, stating your good-faith belief that the removal was a mistake or that the content was misidentified.
  3. Your name and email, plus a postal address or phone number.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

We forward your counter-notice to whoever filed the original complaint. If they do not tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they have taken the matter to court, we may restore the content, provided we still hold it. Keep in mind that free videos only exist for 7 days (see our Privacy Policy).

Be accurate

Only send a notice or counter-notice if you are sure it is accurate. Knowingly false claims can make you liable for damages.

Intimate images and content made without consent

You do not need to own a copyright to have this kind of content removed. If a video shows you, or someone you act for, without consent, or if it is an intimate image, email us with a link to the content and a short explanation. We remove intimate images and content that depicts a person without consent within 48 hours of a valid request. We may ask you to confirm that you are the person shown or that you act for them.

Other unlawful content

To report anything else unlawful, email support@vividhour.com. Content that sexualizes minors falls under the zero-tolerance rule in our Content Rules and is reported where the law requires. Our Terms of Service explain what happens to accounts that break the rules.
