Privacy Policy
What VividHour collects when you make videos, who receives it, how long it is kept and how to have it deleted. Last updated 2026-10-21.
About this policy
VividHour runs vividhour.com, a web app that turns a photo or a written prompt into a short AI-generated video. Below you will find which personal data we handle, why, which companies receive it and how long it stays with us. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean VividHour.
If you have a question about your data, email support@vividhour.com.
At a glance
- Nothing you upload or make is used to train AI models.
- We erase uploaded photos once 7 days have passed.
- You can delete your account, with its photos and videos, from your account page.
- Card details go to our payment provider. Card numbers are never visible to us or stored by us.
- Your personal data is never sold.
What we collect
Photos and prompts. To make a video, we receive the photo you upload or the prompt you type, along with the settings you pick.
Your videos. We store each finished video so you can watch and download it.
Account details. Your account is linked to your email address. Choosing Google sign-in means Google sends us your name and profile picture as well.
Purchases. We keep a record of each plan or credit pack you buy: what it was, the price, the date and your credit balance. Your payment details go directly to our payment provider, not to us.
Device and usage data. A cookie counts the free videos made on your device. To enforce the free limits and stop abuse, we use your IP address, but we store it only as a salted hash: a scrambled code, not the address itself. The first time you make a video or create an account, we also record your approximate country, your browser language and the link that brought you to the site. Where analytics is allowed, Google Analytics 4 records which pages you visit and which features you use.
Content check records. Every photo, prompt and finished video is checked automatically. For each check we log the decision, the labels it produced and a hash of the input. The log never contains the image.
Messages. If you email us or appeal a blocked video, we keep your message and our reply.
How we use it
- To make your video and deliver it to you.
- To check content against our Content Rules before and after each video is made.
- To count free videos and prevent abuse of the free limits.
- To run your account, your credits and your purchases.
- To send the emails you need, such as sign-in links, answers to appeals and notice of price changes.
- To answer support requests.
- To see how the site is used, through Google Analytics, where you have allowed it.
- To keep tax records, and to report content that sexualizes minors where the law requires it.
No AI training on your content
Nothing you upload or make is used to train AI models. We do not do it, and our agreements with the model providers do not allow it.
Service providers we use
We share personal data only with the companies that help us run VividHour. Each one receives only what it needs:
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores our database, your files and your videos, and delivers videos to your browser.
- kie.ai runs the AI video models. It receives your photo and prompt so it can make the video.
- SeeAPI runs our content checks. It receives your photo, your prompt and frames sampled from the finished video.
- Our payment provider, currently Waffo (Pancake), sells you plans and credit packs as the merchant of record, takes your payment details and deals with sales tax.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Google Analytics 4 gives us usage statistics. Visitors in the EU, the UK and Switzerland are only measured once they say yes.
- Google handles the sign-in when you log in with your Google account.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
How long we keep data
- Uploaded photos: deleted after 7 days.
- Free videos: deleted after 7 days.
- Paid videos: kept for as long as your subscription runs, plus 30 days once it has ended. If you have only ever bought credit packs, your paid videos stay for 12 months.
- Content check logs: the decision, the labels and a hash of the input. Never the image.
- Your account: kept until you delete it.
- Invoices and payment records: kept as long as tax law requires, even after the account is deleted.
Download any video you want to keep before its storage period ends.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep you signed in, count free videos on your device and remember your cookie choice. Without them the site cannot work, so we do not ask before setting them.
Analytics cookies come from Google Analytics 4. For visitors in the EU, the UK and Switzerland, they wait until you accept them in the cookie banner. The Cookie Settings link in the footer reopens that banner whenever you want to change your mind. Outside those regions, analytics cookies may be set when you visit. Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies.
Your rights and choices
- Get a copy of your data. Email support@vividhour.com and we will send it to you. There is no export button.
- Correct your details. Email us and we will fix anything that is wrong.
- Delete your data. Use the delete option on your account page. Your photos, videos and account are removed within 30 days. Invoices and payment records stay for as long as tax law requires.
- Withdraw consent. Use Cookie Settings to switch analytics off again.
- Object or ask questions. If you disagree with how we use your data, email us.
We may ask you to write from the email address on your account, so we know the request really comes from you. People in the EU, the UK and Switzerland may also take a complaint to their local data protection authority.
Protecting your data
All connections to VividHour are encrypted with HTTPS. We limit access to our systems and avoid keeping data we do not need: IP addresses are stored only as hashes, and card numbers never reach us. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your data safe.
Children and age limits
Accounts and payments are for people aged 18 and over, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. The free tool is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Photos of children are accepted only from their parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
Every revision of this policy gets a new date at the top. Account holders also get an email when a revision makes a real difference to how their data is used.
