What it is
Picture and sound, made together
MiniMax H3 generates sound with the picture, so each clip comes with sound that fits what is on screen, and dialogue you write in quotes is spoken. It works from a photo as the first frame, from a written prompt, or from a reference photo, where the subject keeps its look in a new scene.
We run it at 768p, in clips of 5 or 10 seconds; 10 seconds needs a paid plan or a credit pack. The reference mode powers two of our effects, knight cat and the unforgettable car trend. In the main generator, your photo is the first frame.
VividHour is an independent product and is not affiliated with MiniMax; we run H3 through an API provider.

What does not work well
- Faces and hands can drift, and a 10-second clip gives them more time to.
- You cannot choose the sound: there is no music upload, and the sound cannot be turned off.
- Text on signs, screens and labels often comes out garbled.
- In reference mode, unusual markings, logos and fine patterns can be simplified.

What is reference mode?
Instead of using your photo as the first frame, the model treats it as a reference and keeps the subject's look in a new scene. Here it is used inside effects such as knight cat.
Can I use MiniMax H3 videos commercially?
Yes, if you made them on a paid plan or with a credit pack.
Why was my prompt or photo rejected?
Photos and prompts are checked before generation. Sexual content, minors in sexual or suggestive contexts and real people named in a prompt are refused, and nothing is used up. See our content rules.
