Veo 3.1 Fast is part of Google's Veo 3.1 family. It generates sound with the picture, and dialogue you write in quotes is spoken. It works from a photo as the first frame or from a written prompt.
It is our Pro tier, available on the Pro and Max plans, at 7 credits a clip. Every clip is 8 seconds, the longest length the model makes, at 1080p.

What does not work well
- The length is fixed at 8 seconds here; there is no 5 or 10 second option.
- Faces and hands can drift, and fast action can smear, as in any short AI video.
- Text on signs and screens often comes out garbled.
- Busy scenes with many small subjects lose detail, even at 1080p.

Does it make sound?
Yes. Every clip has sound the model generates with the picture, and dialogue you write in quotes is spoken. The sound cannot be turned off.
Can I use Veo 3.1 Fast videos commercially?
Yes. The Pro tier is only on paid plans, and videos made on a paid plan can be used commercially, within our content rules.
What photos and prompts are refused?
Sexual content, minors in sexual or suggestive contexts, and real people named in a prompt. Everything is checked before generation, so a refused video uses no credits.
